Flying to New Delhi in Asiana Airlines Business Class
Boarding Asiana Airlines Business Class from Incheon Airport
Since I was flying business class this time, I went through premium check-in. As expected from Korea’s flagship carrier, the whole setup was well thought out and smooth.
Every time I fly business class, I realize how much better the experience is when flying with that country’s national airline—like ANA or JAL when departing from Japan, or Thai Airways when flying out of Thailand. From check-in to lounge to boarding, the whole customer experience really feels different.

I really like Asiana Airlines, so with each step closer to the gate, I found myself getting more and more excited.

At check-in, I greeted the staff with a simple “Annyeonghaseyo” in my limited Korean, then switched to English. Once they saw my Japanese passport, they kindly continued the process in fluent Japanese, which made everything very easy.
After relaxing in the lounge for a while, it was time to board.

The aircraft was a little older, and there weren’t any fancy amenities, but the service was very attentive—they started with a glass of sparkling wine, which was a nice touch.

Here’s what the in-flight meal looked like on this flight.

Korean beer and appetizers at 30,000 feet hit the spot—it was genuinely delicious.
After the meal, I napped a bit, watched a movie, and just enjoyed a relaxing time in the air. Before I knew it, we were already flying over India.
Even from up high, I could clearly tell how bad the air pollution was—it was that noticeable.

Due to some congestion and delays, the landing was a little late, but I arrived safely in New Delhi!
From the airport, I took the train to the area near my accommodation.

It was pretty crowded just getting through the station gates.

The New Delhi Station sign is adorable—it even has a little person doing a namaste pose!
Finally, I stepped outside and was immediately overwhelmed—in a good way—by the noise and vibrant energy of India.

I’ll be staying in India for a few days and plan to explore around New Delhi. Looking forward to seeing what’s ahead!
